The Apecatu Association is a non-profit non-governmental organization whose objective is to develop actions in the areas of education, culture, citizenship and sustainability.
 

Its founders are film and television professionals who, in partnership with the community and municipality, offer children and their families socio-educational and citizenship-building experiences.
 

The entity maintains itself with partnerships and donations.
